Pastry Chef
A luxury hotel in beautiful Bansko, Canada is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious desserts, pastries, and breads that will delight our guests' taste buds. You will also work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and ensure high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and breads for the hotel's restaurant, banquets, and room service
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create new menu items that reflect the seasonality and local ingredients of Bansko
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Train and supervise pastry assistants on proper techniques and recipes
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed in the preparation of all pastry items
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
- Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Creative mindset with strong passion for food and desserts
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments
- Proven track record of developing original recipes with successful results
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 1700$ per month.
