Librarian Assistant


Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a proficient Librarian Assistant to join our team in Nizwa. This is a full-time position that requires an individual with experience in library operations and management. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills in English, as well as strong organizational and administrative abilities. This job is open to both Filipino nationals and non-nationals with a valid biometric passport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian in the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, shelving, and maintaining records.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with locating materials, answering inquiries, and managing circulation transactions.
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute library programs and events.
- Manage the library's social media presence by creating engaging content and responding to patron inquiries.
- Maintain the physical appearance of the library by ensuring shelves are organized, materials are properly labeled, and spaces are clean and inviting.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a library or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required for this position.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
