Preservation Architect - Moscow, Russia



As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and protecting historical buildings and structures in the city of Moscow, Russia. Your main role will be to ensure that these structures are maintained and restored in accordance with historical preservation standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys and assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition and necessary restoration work
- Develop preservation plans and proposals for the maintenance and restoration of historical structures
- Work closely with construction teams to oversee the implementation of preservation plans
- Advise on appropriate materials, techniques, and methods for restoration work
- Monitor progress of restoration projects and make any necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with preservation standards
- Collaborate with other professionals such as engineers, historians, and archaeologists to ensure accurate restoration work
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations related to historical preservation in Moscow

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in historical preservation, preferably in a similar role
- Knowledge of Russian architecture history, particularly in Moscow, is preferred
- Familiarity with conservation techniques and materials used in historic buildings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think creatively for problem-solving solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English (Russian language skills are an asset)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Physically fit for occasional on-site work

Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
