Head Pastry Chef


We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including menu creation, training and managing a team of pastry chefs, ordering and inventory management, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry arts as well as experience in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and standards
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency and excellence in all dessert offerings
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cost control to meet budget goals
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality
- Collaborate with other departments to create special event menus or cross-utilize ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with health codes and company standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu offerings

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques such as baking, chocolate work, sugar work, etc.
- Ability to lead and train a diverse team of pastry chefs with different skill levels
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage)
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.

Location:
This job is located in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait.

Preference:
Preference will be given to candidates who are Indian nationals or have experience working with Indian cuisine.
