Sous Chef
Our busy restaurant in Nizwa is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef in planning menus and creating new dishes
- Managing kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and supervising their work
- Ensuring all food preparation meets our high-quality standards
- Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies
- Overseeing the kitchen's cleanliness and organization
- Enforcing health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborating with front of house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a busy restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Creativity in menu development and plate presentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage)
Salary:
1600 USD per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location:
Nizwa, Oman
