Executive Chef
Our restaurant in Bayan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the head of our culinary department, the Executive Chef will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and high-quality dishes that will exceed our customers' expectations. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Canadian cuisine, with a focus on using fresh, local ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and showcase Canadian flavors
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Create new dishes and specials while also ensuring the quality of existing menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian cuisine, techniques, and ingredients
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and procedures
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new menu items while also maintaining consistency in existing dishes
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: $1700/month (negotiable based on experience)
Note: This position is open to candidates of all nationalities, however, preference will be given to Canadian applicants. While English proficiency is preferred, it is not required for this position.
