Librarian Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our team at a public library in the bustling city of Lom. As an assistant to the librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging and organizing books, helping patrons find resources, and managing loan transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging and organizing books according to the library's system
- Help patrons locate books and other resources
- Process loans and returns of books and other materials
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions
- Answer general inquiries from patrons regarding library services and resources
- Assist with creating displays and promoting new materials or events in the library
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the library by shelving books, tidying up shelves, etc.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and alert librarian when orders need to be placed
- Assist with organizing events or programs at the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of library software systems
- Prior experience working in a library setting is a plus

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.

This job is located in Lom, a vibrant city known for its historical landmarks, delicious food, and bustling markets. It is open to Egyptian nationals as well as foreigners.
