Claims Adjuster


As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and settling insurance claims related to property, casualty, or liability losses. You will work closely with policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties to assess the extent of damages or injuries and determine coverage. Your duties will also include reviewing insurance policies, evaluating damage estimates, and negotiating settlements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make fair and accurate decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Investigate insurance claims by gathering information from various sources such as police reports, medical records, and witnesses
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage limits and exclusions
- Inspect damaged property and evaluate repair or replacement costs
- Negotiate settlements with claimants in a fair and timely manner
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and answer questions
- Document all investigation findings and maintain accurate records of the claims process
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries or concerns from policyholders or other parties involved in the claim
- Collaborate with other team members to review complex claims or seek guidance on difficult cases

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Claims Adjuster in the insurance industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies and coverage options
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to explain complex information in a clear manner
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for evaluating evidence and making informed decisions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills with experience using claims processing software (e.g. Xactimate)
- Must have a biometric passport for international travel (if applicable)
- Accommodation provided for those relocating from outside of Pula (if applicable)
- Fluency in English (preferred) and knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours and handle a high volume of claims when needed
