Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine the exact locations and measurements of land boundaries, buildings, and other features on the Earth's surface. You will use specialized equipment such as GPS receivers, total stations, and laser scanners to collect data and create maps, plans, and reports.
Your main duties will include researching land records and titles, interpreting survey data, analyzing legal documents, and preparing accurate survey reports. You will also be responsible for overseeing the work of surveying assistants and ensuring that all surveys are conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and surveying principles. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other professionals involved in construction projects.
This is a contract job based in Nairobi with a salary of $1500 per month. While English proficiency is not required for this position, fluency in Swahili would be an advantage. This job is suitable for both men and women who have at least 2 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor.
