Foundry Foreman


Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundry Foreman to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Foundry Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process in our foundry and ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the foundry team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining high quality standards
- Monitor production processes to identify any issues or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and maintenance to optimize production processes
- Order raw materials and supplies as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management on productivity, costs, and quality control

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a foundry setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of foundry operations and processes, including sand casting and molding techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

Salary:
$1300 per month
