Industrial Alpinist

As an Industrial Alpinist, you will work in a physically demanding environment, performing tasks at great heights and in challenging conditions. Your main responsibility will be to provide safe and efficient access to difficult-to-reach areas for maintenance, construction, or inspection purposes. You will use specialized climbing equipment and techniques to reach these locations, including ropes, harnesses, and anchors.

You will also be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of all equipment used during operations. This includes regular safety checks and proper storage when not in use. You must have excellent physical strength and endurance as well as strong problem-solving skills to navigate through different scenarios on the job.

Your duties will also include conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols for each job site. You must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines at all times while on the job. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will often work in teams and must effectively communicate with your team members.

To excel in this role, you should have previous experience in industrial alpinism or a similar field such as rock climbing or rope access work. A high school diploma or equivalent is required but additional training or certification in industrial alpinism is preferred.

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve travel to different job sites within the Atlanta area. Some jobs may require overnight stays depending on the location of the site. Accommodations will be provided for these situations.
