Power Engineer



We are searching for a skilled and experienced Power Engineer to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for various projects. You must have a strong understanding of power generation and distribution systems, as well as experience with control systems and renewable energy technologies. The ideal candidate should also have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop electrical systems for power generation and distribution projects.
- Conduct tests on electrical components and systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot any issues with power systems and provide solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in renewable energy technologies.
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members on project planning and execution.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project proposals.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power Engineer.
- Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems.
- Experience with control systems such as SCADA or DCS.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies such as solar or wind power.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Requirements:

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience working on international projects.
- Knowledge of local regulations related to power engineering.
