Head Chef at High-End Restaurant in Eldoret
We are in search of an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Eldoret. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to managing kitchen staff and maintaining food quality standards. Our ideal candidate is a creative and innovative culinary professional with excellent leadership skills and a passion for delivering top-notch dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that showcase the restaurant's concept and elevate the dining experience
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and supervising food preparation
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of food quality by conducting regular taste tests and implementing necessary changes
- Monitor food costs to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, ingredients, and equipment to continuously improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in designing menus that cater to diverse tastes while staying true to the restaurant's concept
- Strong understanding of food cost management techniques without compromising on quality
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in English is preferred
Education/Experience:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
-Salary: 1600$
- Eligible candidates must have a valid biometric passport
