Smelter Operator

We are seeking an experienced Smelter Operator to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the smelting equipment to melt and refine metal ores. Your duties will include monitoring and adjusting smelting processes, performing quality control checks, and troubleshooting equipment issues.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of smelting techniques and be able to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment according to established procedures
- Monitor the smelting process and make necessary adjustments
- Perform quality control tests on melted metal samples
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs
- Maintain accurate records of production data
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Smelter Operator
- Knowledge of smelting techniques and processes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English
