Shaper (Woodworking) for a furniture company in Pula, Croatia


We are seeking a skilled Shaper (Woodworking) to join our furniture company in Pula, Croatia. This is a full-time position that offers a salary of $1300 per month. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and carving wood to create high-quality furniture pieces.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shaper or in a similar woodworking role
- Proficiency in using shaping tools such as saws, chisels, and routers
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and designs
- Physical stamina and strength to work with heavy pieces of wood
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Must have legal authorization to work in Croatia, own visa preferred
- Accommodation provided for non-local candidates

Responsibilities:
- Study design plans and blueprints to determine the shape and size of the furniture piece
- Use shaping tools to cut, carve, and smooth out wood pieces according to the design specifications
- Ensure that all measurements are accurate and pieces fit together seamlessly
- Sand down rough edges and surfaces for a smooth finish
- Inspect finished pieces for quality control and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with other team members such as carpenters, painters, and upholsterers to complete projects on time
- Maintain clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in woodworking or related field
- Experience working with different types of wood such as oak, pine, or maple
- Knowledge of different types of joinery techniques for creating strong furniture pieces
