Pastry Chef for Egyptian Bakery in Al-Rayyan
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at an Egyptian bakery in Al-Rayyan. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts, using traditional Egyptian recipes and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of pastries and desserts, including baklava, konafa, basbousa and other traditional Egyptian treats
- Follow authentic recipes and techniques to ensure the highest quality products
- Inspect the quality of ingredients and ensure they meet our standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients when needed
- Train new pastry staff on recipes, techniques, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in an Egyptian bakery
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Egyptian pastry recipes and techniques
- Strong creativity and ability to develop new pastry ideas
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be physically able to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per month.
