Database Administrator
We are hiring a Database Administrator to maintain and manage our company's databases in Chelyabinsk. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database management systems, data security, and troubleshooting. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of our databases, optimizing their performance, and implementing data backup and recovery strategies. This is a contract position with accommodation provided. Candidates with their own visa will be given preference. This role is also suitable for students looking to gain experience in database administration.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and regular backups
- Develop and maintain database documentation and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as data backups, index rebuilding, etc.
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks
- Stay updated with industry best practices for database management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL language
- Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of data security principles
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
Salary: 1500$ per month
Location: Chelyabinsk
