Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Muscat, Oman)


We are seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead our fine dining restaurant located in the vibrant city of Muscat, Oman. As an English-speaking Canadian chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring high-quality food production and service
- Develop creative menus that reflect the local cuisine while incorporating international influences
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and purchasing of food supplies within budget guidelines
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
- Train and mentor junior chefs on cooking techniques, menu development, and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining room
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency with menu standards

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, including Canadian cuisine
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that appeal to a wide range of customers
- Strong understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and budgeting
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
Starting salary of $1100 USD per month with potential for growth based on performance.
