Executive Chef



We are in search of a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our restaurant in Bungoma. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, have a strong culinary background, and possess excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
- Creating and developing menus that are both innovative and appealing to customers
- Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes
- Managing kitchen staff and ensuring they adhere to high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of food supplies
- Collaborating with management to create budgets, control costs, and increase profits
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff, providing guidance on proper cooking techniques
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that meet customer demands
- Ability to collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month.

Location:
This job is located in Bungoma. While we welcome applicants from other countries, fluency in English is required for this position.
