Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Akron. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients and customers, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and maintaining accurate records of all support activities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and software, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email or in person
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software or network connectivity
- Document all support activities accurately and maintain detailed records
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members for resolution
- Install hardware/software updates and patches as needed
- Train clients on how to use new technology or software systems
- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures for providing technical support

Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical support role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software and networking
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with remote desktop applications
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- Experience with customer service in a technical environment
