levels Librarian - Part-Time (Indians Preferred)


We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to join our team in Shan. As a part-time Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference questions, and promoting library programs and services.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons in finding and accessing resources for research and reference purposes
- Plan and implement creative programs and events to engage the community and promote library services
- Collaborate with other departments to develop new collections or services based on community needs
- Provide instruction to patrons on how to use library resources, including online databases and technology
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, patron accounts, and statistics
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Familiarity with online databases, technology, and social media platforms for promoting library services
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse patrons
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Proficiency in Indian languages preferred but not required

Salary:
This is a part-time position offering a salary of 1200$ per month.

Location:
This job is located in Shan.
