Information Security Analyst (Contract)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Funchal. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting our company's sensitive information and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. This is an ideal opportunity for freshers to gain hands-on experience in the field of information security. The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Monitor network activity and investigate any suspicious behavior or security breaches
- Develop and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Provide training and support to employees on information security best practices
- Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or COBIT
- Familiarity with network protocols and tools used for intrusion detection/prevention
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preference will be given to candidates who have one or more of the following:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM
- Previous experience in information security roles or internships
- Fluency in Portuguese (Funchal is located in Portugal)
