Petroleum Engineer - Drilling and Production Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Ar-Ruwais, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of drilling and production operations. As a specialist in your field, you will also provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop drilling plans and oversee the execution of drilling operations, including well design, casing design, drilling fluids selection, and bit selection.
- Monitor drilling progress and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Conduct engineering studies to evaluate well performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design production systems for oil and gas wells, including artificial lift systems and surface facilities.
- Conduct reservoir engineering analysis to optimize production rates and manage reservoir pressure.
- Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and other specialists to evaluate potential oil and gas reserves.
- Monitor production data and propose solutions for operational issues or production decline.
- Manage budgets for drilling and production projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering or production engineering for oil and gas fields.
- Strong knowledge of drilling practices, completion techniques, artificial lift systems, surface facilities design, reservoir engineering principles, and well performance analysis.
- Experience with industry software such as Petrel or Eclipse is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
