Experienced Barista for Seasonal Coffee Shop in Malindi


We are a popular seasonal coffee shop in Malindi, looking for an experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages to our customers. Your role will also include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Barista in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple orders at once
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly manner, take orders, and prepare beverages according to recipes
- Ensure quality control by properly measuring ingredients, monitoring brewing equipment, and maintaining clean workspace
- Upsell additional products such as pastries or snacks to increase sales
- Maintain inventory by restocking supplies and keeping track of stock levels
- Keep the coffee shop clean and organized at all times, including wiping down counters, tables, and equipment
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner

This is a seasonal job with the possibility of extension based on performance. We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month along with tips from satisfied customers. This position is open to candidates from any nationality who have relevant experience as a Barista. Students looking for part-time employment are also welcome to apply.
