A construction company in Nakuru is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities:
-Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and materials needed for each project
-Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications
-Cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand or power tools
-Assemble and fasten materials using screws, nails, staples, or adhesives
-Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, cabinets, stairs, and roofs
-Inspect completed work for quality standards and make necessary repairs or adjustments
-Work with other tradespeople as needed to complete projects

Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry
-Knowledge of carpentry techniques and building codes/regulations in Kenya
-Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately
-Detail-oriented with strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements
-Familiarity with power tools and hand tools required in carpentry work
-Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary

Preferences:
-Nationality: Indian (must have valid biometric passport)
-Language: English speaking (fluency preferred)
