Back-End Developer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our remote team in Jerusalem. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of back-end development principles and experience in building scalable, secure, and efficient web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side components of our web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. This is a contract position with the opportunity for long-term employment. Candidates with experience and a strong portfolio will be given preference.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in back-end development
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or PHP
- Experience with database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Canadian or Filipino nationality preferred but not required
- Must have experience working remotely

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing server-side components for web applications
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users
- Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimizing application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensuring security measures are implemented to protect sensitive data
- Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in back-end development
