Indian Chef in Mombasa, Kenya
We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As our ideal candidate, you should have a strong passion for Indian cuisine and be able to prepare a variety of authentic dishes. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen, overseeing the preparation and presentation of all food items, and ensuring high quality and consistent taste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes according to recipes and standards
- Manage kitchen operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high quality output
- Monitor food portions and waste control to minimize costs while maintaining quality
- Ensure presentation of food items is visually appealing and meets company standards
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items or make modifications as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, spices, and flavors
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise staff effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1000 per month.
