Smelter Operator


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Smelter Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the smelting equipment to produce high-quality metal products.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the smelting equipment according to standard procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor the smelting process to ensure proper temperature, pressure, and flow
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the smelting process
- Perform routine maintenance on the smelting equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records of production data and quality control measures
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure efficient operations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Smelter Operator in a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of smelting processes and equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
