Metal Fabricator
We are a leading metal fabrication company located in Atlanta, looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, cutting and shaping metal materials, and assembling metal parts using welding techniques. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications
- Cut, shape, and bend metal materials using various tools such as saws, drills, shears, and presses
- Weld or solder metal parts together according to project requirements
- Polish and grind finished products to achieve desired surface finish
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working with heavy machinery and hazardous materials
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings
- Proficient in using welding equipment such as MIG/TIG welders, torches, plasma cutters, etc.
- Strong knowledge of different types of metal materials and their properties
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Preferred:
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication from a recognized institution
- Experience working with different types of metals such as steel, aluminum, copper, etc.
- Familiarity with CAD software for creating 2D/3D designs
