Head Chef

As the Head Chef for our upscale restaurant in Jeddah, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service. Your role will include creating and updating menus, training and managing kitchen staff, and maintaining food safety standards. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Executive Chef who has a strong understanding of international cuisine and can lead a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative menus that showcase our restaurant's concept
- Manage food cost, inventory, and ordering to ensure profitability
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions
- Oversee kitchen operations during service hours to maintain efficiency and high standards
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and repair needs
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Knowledge of international cuisine with a focus on modern techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Experience with menu development, including seasonal changes and special events
