Junior Sous Chef - Kenyan Cuisine (Nizwa, Oman)
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our team in Nizwa, Oman. As an Executive Chef specializing in Kenyan cuisine, you will be responsible for creating and executing traditional dishes using authentic ingredients and techniques. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Kenyan dishes with a modern twist
- Develop new menu items using local and seasonal ingredients
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proficiency in preparing and cooking Kenyan cuisine
- Experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nizwa, Oman (accommodation not provided)
