Mason vacancy in Al Buraymi Oman

Mason - Construction Worker

As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures made of brick, stone, concrete blocks or other similar materials. You will work with a team of construction workers to complete various projects in the city of Al Buraymi. This position requires experience in masonry work and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints or plans to determine the layout and materials needed for each project
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and smoothing them using hammers, chisels, or other tools
- Mix cement, sand and water to create mortar or grout for filling gaps between bricks or stones
- Lay bricks, stones or other materials according to the design plans
- Use levels, rulers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy and alignment of structures
- Cut bricks or stones using hammers, chisels or power saws to fit specific spaces
- Repair existing structures by replacing broken or damaged bricks, stones or concrete blocks
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on construction sites

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mason in construction projects
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as required
- Knowledge of different types of masonry materials and techniques
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
