Preservation Architect
A renowned architecture firm in Eschen is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and maintaining their cultural significance. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural history, materials, and techniques, as well as strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on historical buildings and structures to understand their significance and historical context
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines while also preserving the integrity of the original design
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the proper execution of preservation projects
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control
- Prepare reports and documentation on preservation projects for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in preservation architecture or restoration projects (preferably in Africa)
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction techniques used in historical structures
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining historical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
Salary: 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Eschen (open to non-local candidates with own visa)
