Executive Chef - African Cuisine (Temporary)

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a passion for African cuisine to join our team in Kaunas, Lithuania on a temporary basis. As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen staff and creating innovative and delicious dishes inspired by the flavors of Africa.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menu items, incorporating traditional African ingredients and techniques
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies to maintain cost efficiency
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies for menu items
- Plan and execute special events or themed dinners featuring African cuisine

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant specializing in African cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional African cooking methods, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Proven track record of creating innovative dishes that meet customer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen setting
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

This is a temporary position with the possibility for extension based on performance. We offer competitive salary of 1100$ per month along with accommodation during your employment. Candidates must have their own valid visa to work in Kaunas.
