Seamstress for Indian Clothing Boutique in Split



We are a well-established Indian clothing boutique in Split and we are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for creating and altering traditional Indian garments according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut fabric according to patterns and customer measurements
- Operate industrial sewing machines and other equipment
- Sew garments together using various techniques such as hand stitching, serging, and hemming
- Make alterations to finished garments based on customer requests
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished garments for any defects
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Collaborate with design team to create new patterns and designs

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Knowledge of different sewing techniques, including hand stitching and serging
- Ability to read and interpret garment patterns
- Familiarity with industrial sewing machines
- Attention to detail and quality control skills
- Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Physical dexterity for handling small objects and fabric pieces

Preferences:
We welcome candidates of all nationalities but prefer those with experience in creating traditional Indian clothing. This job is suitable for English-speaking individuals without any experience in the field. Accommodation can be provided if needed. Candidates must have their own visa or be eligible to work in Split.
