We are currently hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Funchal. As a member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure their smooth and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management systems and be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot any issues with the databases
- Develop backup and disaster recovery plans for all databases
- Collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure data security and integrity
- Identify opportunities for database optimization and recommend solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
