Data Mining Specialist

As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns, trends, and insights. This role requires a strong understanding of data mining techniques and tools, as well as the ability to work with complex datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations. This is a remote position based in Moscow, with opportunities for individuals from Africa or Nepal. No prior experience is required, and we offer accommodation and visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant data sources and extract large sets of data
- Clean, transform, and organize data for analysis
- Utilize advanced data mining techniques to identify patterns and trends
- Present findings in visually appealing formats such as graphs, charts, or dashboards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g. MySQL)
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R
- Proven experience with data mining tools (e.g. Tableau, RapidMiner)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information quickly
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role or field (e.g. Business Intelligence Analyst)
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as regression analysis or clustering algorithms
- Experience working with large datasets using Hadoop or other big data technologies
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to speak Russian or another Slavic language is a plus

Salary:
$900 per month

Moscow, Russia (remote)
