Long Haul Truck Driver

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically between cities or even different countries. You will operate heavy-duty trucks and follow traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure a safe and timely delivery. This is a contract position that requires a valid biometric passport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive long haul trucks to transport goods and materials
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Obey traffic laws, safety regulations, and weight limits
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Maintain accurate records of activities such as fuel consumption, distance traveled, and deliveries made
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and clients to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 5 years
- Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with GPS devices and electronic logging systems
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively communicate with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$ per month. Benefits may include health insurance coverage and paid time off.

Location:
This position is based in Sharjah but may require travel across different cities or countries depending on the delivery schedule.
