Head Pastry Chef


As a Head Pastry Chef in our upscale restaurant located in the bustling city of Manama, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of all pastry and dessert items on our menu. Your passion for creating unique and delicious desserts, combined with your strong leadership skills, will ensure that our pastry department runs smoothly and produces high-quality, visually appealing treats for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry and dessert items that align with our restaurant's concept and standards
- Train and mentor pastry team members to ensure consistency in the quality of all pastries and desserts
- Manage inventory and ordering of necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop seasonal menu items that incorporate pastries or desserts
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to communicate any changes or specials related to the pastry department

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques, including breads, cakes, pastries, chocolates, etc.
- Creativity and ability to develop unique flavor combinations and visually appealing presentations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Certified Pastry Chef (CPC) designation is a plus

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this full-time position. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage after 6 months of employment.
