Nepali Interpreter

We are seeking a skilled Nepali Interpreter to join our team in Washington. This is a full-time position that does not require English proficiency. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for accurately translating spoken or written Nepali to English and vice versa in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and events. Your main goal will be to bridge the communication gap between individuals or groups who do not share a common language.

Responsibilities:
- Listen carefully to speakers and interpret the meaning of their words accurately
- Translate written documents from Nepali to English and vice versa
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in your translations
- Use relevant tools such as translation software, glossaries, and dictionaries for accurate interpretations
- Maintain confidentiality and neutrality while interpreting
- Clarify any misunderstandings or discrepancies during interpretation
- Keep up-to-date with industry terminology and trends

Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Nepali and English languages
- Previous experience as an interpreter preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Knowledge of cultural differences and sensitivity towards them
- Ability to handle pressure and remain calm in challenging situations
- Strong time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field preferred

Salary: $1300 per month
