Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Your role will also involve troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to end users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software, servers, and related components.
- Monitor database performance and capacity, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
- Develop backup and recovery plans to protect critical data.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with other teams to implement database changes and upgrades.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support to end users and assist with ad-hoc queries when necessary.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in SQL query language.
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server.
- Knowledge of database design principles, performance tuning techniques, and data modeling concepts.
- Understanding of disaster recovery strategies and high availability solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional).
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Los Angeles
