Part-Time Librarian - Mauren, Africa


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Librarian to join our team in Mauren, Africa. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library materials, providing excellent customer service to library patrons, and assisting with research and reference inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the library, including shelving books, processing new materials, and maintaining a clean and organized space
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials, answering reference questions, and providing technology support
- Develop and implement engaging programming for library users of all ages
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and maintain library collections that meet the needs of our diverse community
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature and technology to ensure the library is offering relevant resources and services
- Promote the library through outreach efforts such as social media posts, community events, and partnerships with local organizations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and online databases
- Passion for literature and promoting literacy within the community
