Senior Accountant
The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Isa Town. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of our company and preparing accurate and timely financial reports. They will also be responsible for overseeing the work of other accountants and providing guidance and support when needed. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and previous experience in a similar role. They must also have excellent communication skills, as they will be required to communicate with other departments within the company as well as external stakeholders. The Senior Accountant should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to effectively manage a team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, etc.
- Oversee the work of other accountants and provide guidance when needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Communicate with other departments within the company to obtain necessary information for financial reporting.
- Work closely with external auditors during year-end audits.
- Train new employees on accounting procedures and software systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role (2 years in a supervisory/managerial role preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP or QuickBooks).
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with external audits is a plus.
