Indian Chef for Traditional Cuisine



We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Clairvaux. As a traditional cuisine chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Indian dishes with a focus on flavor, presentation, and quality. Your main duties will include planning menus, ordering ingredients, and managing kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and create traditional Indian menus that reflect regional specialties and seasonal ingredients
- Prepare and cook dishes according to traditional recipes with attention to detail and presentation
- Ensure all food is of high quality, taste, and appearance
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain consistency in preparation and presentation
- Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with management to create new dishes or menu items based on customer feedback or market trends
- Adhere to budget guidelines by controlling food costs through portion control, waste management, and inventory management
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in traditional Indian cuisine

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian recipes, spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Team player with strong leadership abilities
- Good communication skills in English (French is a plus)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends

Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Clairvaux (Candidates from India preferred)
