Part-Time Librarian


Our library in Dickirch is seeking a part-time librarian to join our team. As a librarian, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing our collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. This position is ideal for someone with experience in library science and a passion for promoting literacy and education.

Responsibilities:
- Catalog and classify new materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Help patrons locate materials and answer questions about library resources
- Manage circulation of books and other materials, including checking them in/out and collecting late fees
- Assist with collection development by recommending new purchases based on patron needs
- Plan and coordinate library programs, such as book clubs or children's storytime
- Keep the library clean, organized, and welcoming to patrons
- Ensure all materials are properly shelved and maintained

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and other library classification systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
Starting salary for this part-time position is $1700 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Dickirch. While we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, preference will be given to Indian applicants.

Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, with an average of 20 hours per week. The schedule will include evenings and weekends.
