Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef at our upscale restaurant in Karachi, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef to create and execute exceptional dishes, manage and train kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items that meet our standards and appeal to our customers
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper techniques and adhere to safety standards
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Uphold sanitation standards for food storage, handling, and preparation areas
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1800$ per month for this position.
