Indian Pastry Chef in Jeddah
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Jeddah. As an Indian Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious and authentic Indian desserts, pastries, and breads. You must have a strong understanding of Indian cuisine and be able to incorporate traditional flavors and techniques into your creations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create a variety of authentic Indian desserts, pastries, and breads
- Develop new dessert menu items using traditional Indian flavors and techniques
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of all food items
- Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert orders with main courses
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
- Keep track of inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies
- Follow all health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, pastries, and breads
- Ability to create unique desserts that appeal to both local palates and international tastes
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are completed on time
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
$1400 per month (dependent on experience)
Location:
Jeddah - Must be willing to relocate if not currently residing in the city.
