Information Security Analyst

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's information systems and data. They will conduct regular security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement solutions to mitigate risks. Additionally, the Information Security Analyst will work closely with IT teams to provide guidance on security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is based in Eschen, but we welcome applications from Malayalees and foreigners alike. This is a contract position that does not require fluency in English or prior experience in the field. Accommodation will not be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks
- Develop and implement security solutions to mitigate identified risks
- Monitor network activity for unusual behavior or potential threats
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure security best practices are being followed
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends, security threats, and compliance requirements
- Provide training and guidance to employees on security protocols and procedures
- Investigate any suspected security breaches or incidents
- Implement disaster recovery plans in case of a security breach or incident

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, encryption techniques, and other security tools
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or PCI DSS
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and address potential risks proactively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM) are a plus
