Blast Furnace Operator

We are a steel manufacturing company located in Nakuru and we are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace to ensure smooth and efficient production of steel.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnace equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Adjust furnace temperature and feed rate to maintain optimal production levels
- Monitor and control the flow of materials into the furnace
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues
- Monitor quality of molten metal and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records of production data
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial environment preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary certifications
Salary for this position is $1400 per month with accommodation provided. Biometric passport is required for all applicants. English language skills are not required, however, proficiency in Swahili or other local languages is preferred. This position is open to all candidates regardless of nationality.
