Network and Systems Administrator


We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's network and computer systems. Your main goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates and backups to ensure the security and integrity of our systems
- Manage user accounts and permissions on our systems
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues reported by employees
- Install new hardware and software as needed
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in the field of networking

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP), network security principles, and virtualization technologies
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016)
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this full time position in Faro.
